Terms of Service & EULA
Last updated: 2026-04-13
1. Acceptance of Terms & EULA Acknowledgment
By accessing or using the Canadian University of Aesthetic Dermatology (“CUAD”) platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
This Terms of Service document also constitutes the End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) between you and the Canadian University of Aesthetic Dermatology for the CUAD mobile and web applications. By downloading, installing, or using the CUAD apps, you agree to these terms.
For iOS users: the standard Apple End-User License Agreement also applies and is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where the two conflict, this CUAD EULA controls for non-Apple-specific terms; Apple’s EULA controls for Apple-specific terms.
2. Educational Services
CUAD provides online aesthetic dermatology education courses, expert-led instruction, and related professional services. Our courses are designed for educational purposes and do not replace formal medical training, licensing, or certification required by regulatory bodies.
3. Restricted Courses & Self-Certification
Certain course sections — including but not limited to Botox content within the Master Practitioner program (Section 11) and Dermal Filler content within the Master Practitioner program (Section 12) — are intended for licensed medical professionals (Physicians, Nurses, and Dentists) only.
Self-certification: The CUAD platform does not currently verify professional credentials at enrollment. By accessing restricted content, you self-certify that you hold the appropriate medical credentials and licensing required to lawfully practice the techniques described, and you accept full responsibility for that certification.
Regulatory compliance:Before applying any restricted technique to a real patient, we strongly recommend that you consult your provincial medical college’s regulations, Health Canada guidance, and any other applicable laws governing the procedure in your jurisdiction.
4. Accounts and Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Users under 18 years of age require parental consent.
5. Course Purchases, Pricing & Refunds
5.1 One-Time Course Purchases — Web Only
CUAD offers five sequential academic levels, each sold as a one-time purchase in Canadian dollars. There are no subscriptions, no auto-renewing plans, no free tier, and no recurring charges of any kind. Once purchased, a level is yours; access does not expire (subject to Sections 9 and 10 below).
- Basic — CA$950 (one-time)
- Diploma — CA$1,500 (one-time)
- Bachelor — CA$2,200 (one-time)
- Master — CA$2,995 (one-time)
- Master Practitioner — CA$3,995 (one-time)
All purchases are completed exclusively on the CUAD website using Stripe. The iOS app does not sell, list, or process any purchase — it is a reader/access app for content you have already paid for on the web.
5.2 Sequential Enrolment
Levels are designed to be completed in order: Basic → Diploma → Bachelor → Master → Master Practitioner. You may purchase any level once the immediately preceding level has been completed (the certificate has been issued). Bulk or out-of-order purchases may be permitted on a case-by-case basis by contacting support@cuad.ca.
5.3 14-Day Refund Policy (Unused Courses)
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on each course level, provided the course is unused at the time of the refund request. A course is considered unused if all of the following are true:
- No more than 10% of the level's chapters have been opened;
- No quiz or milestone exam has been submitted;
- No certificate for the level has been issued;
- For Master Practitioner, no thesis material has been submitted; and
- The request is received within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date.
To request a refund, email support@cuad.ca from the email address on the purchasing account, including your order number. Approved refunds are issued to the original Stripe payment method, generally within 5–10 business days. Once a course no longer meets the unused criteria above, all sales are final.
5.4 No Subscriptions, No Auto-Renewal
CUAD does not offer subscriptions, free trials, or introductory offers. You will never be billed automatically and you do not need to cancel anything — paying for a level is a single transaction.
5.5 No iOS In-App Purchases
CUAD is classified as a Reader app on the Apple App Store (see https://developer.apple.com/support/readers/). The iOS app does not contain any purchase, subscription, or upgrade flow. All payments are processed by Stripe on the CUAD website. Apple is therefore not involved in any CUAD course transaction, and Apple's refund process (reportaproblem.apple.com) does not apply.
6. Intellectual Property
All course content, materials, videos, and instructor resources are the intellectual property of CUAD and Manucher Nick. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share course materials without written permission.
7. Educational Disclaimer
CUAD course materials provide educational guidance and should not be treated as medical advice. Always consult with a qualified medical professional for clinical decisions. Students are responsible for ensuring they comply with all applicable regulatory requirements in their jurisdiction.
8. AI Chat & Virtual Instructor Disclaimer
The AI chat features on the CUAD platform (AI-powered virtual instructors) provide educational responses based on the course material. They are NOT medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or treatment recommendations for real patients.
Users — particularly licensed medical professionals — must apply their own clinical judgment and follow all applicable laws and regulations (including Health Canada guidance and the rules of their provincial medical colleges) when applying any course content to patient care. CUAD is not liable for outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated responses.
9. Limitation of Liability
CUAD is not liable for any damages arising from the use of our platform, course materials, or AI features. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to CUAD for the specific service in question during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Account Termination
CUAD reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or share course materials without authorization. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your access to purchased course materials will be revoked.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our platform. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
13. Contact
